Happy mid week!
Today I am participating in a black and white photography challenge with the theme of “light” being hosted on Cee’s Photography Blog.
I think that light can be very dramatic in black and white, which is why I love old black and white movies – the lighting can add so much mood to the feel of the film!
The pics of the lamps were taken tonight specifically for this challenge and the overhead shot was taken a couple of years ago at a restaurant in which my son works. I am pretty happy with the shots, especially considering they were all taken on my HTC phone!
Anyway, enjoy my post, and be sure to check out Cee’s blog for more participant posts 🙂
Wonders will never cease – I was organised enough this week to participate in Monochrome Madness for a second time : that’s two weeks in a row!
Monochrome Madness is a black & white photography challenge hosted by photographer Leanne Cole on her blog. She does a great job every week of receiving submissions and publishing them as a blog post – huge job!
So, this week my image was taken on the beach at Point Lonsdale in Victoria. I was quite intrigued by this piece of seaweed – the position it landed in after being randomly washed up on the beach resembled a elaborate Victorian shoe! Well, to my eye it did anyway 🙂
Let me know what you think!
Be sure to checkout Leanne’s blog to view all the other Monochrome Madness participants 😉
