There is not much happening in the studio today. I went to a 50th birthday party last night, so it has been a sleep in morning and lazy afternoon 🙂
I did load the kiln with STUDENT works for a firing tomorrow, and am planning on doing some glazing on my custom orders tomorrow after unloading the bisque kiln.
It was a beautiful day – well for Dunnstown anyway – it was the first day of reasonable weather we’ve had for months AND yes, spring is only days away! So, my partner & I went for a brisk walk around the 4KM block just before the sun was beginning to go down, and midway I was able to capture a vibrant pic of the sunset. I must admit I have a plethora of amazing sunsets where I live which you can see on my INSTAGRAM account:-)
This evening I played around with some guitar string jewellery after being given a surprise box of goodies from a friend during the week. I’ve been making guitar string jewellery for a while because my partner plays guitar, and this surprise package had strings as well as lots of other jewellery making goodies!
So tonight I experimented with making some earrings, rings and necklaces combining other accents such as seed beads, glass beads, my handmade paper beads and my ceramic personalised charms. Here are on some “on the workbench pics” Click on a pic for a better view 🙂
Apart from that, Fathers Day is next weekend and you can still purchase unique gifts from my ETSY shop and get them in time with express postage – or you could pick up goodies from studio if you live nearby 🙂
