I have participated in photo challenges in the past, but this is the first time I have contributed to Jennifer Nichole Wells‘ photo challenge. Participants are asked to post a photo or photos responding to a one word theme – currently the topic is weather, and this week the word is ‘cloudy’. Interpretation of the ‘word’ is open – it can be literal, abstract, touchy feeley … you get it.
As this is the first time I am participating I am playing it safe and going for literal – unusual for me! I guess how you respond to things depends on how you are feeling at the time (touchy feeley).
So… it is Winter here in Australia. I live on a 10 acre property in a semi rural regional part of Central Victoria, and this part of Aus is particularly cold, and in the past week we have a cold snap.
The picture I am sharing is the view from my front yard… I am lucky enough to face the sunset horizon – which is fantastic in Summer, but can be just as amazing in Winter.
This picture shows the rolling in of some storm clouds …. enjoy!
Great shot, i’ve probably asked before (if yes, sorry) where in Vic? I’m SE of Melbourne
Hey Julie – I am 10km out of Ballarat on the Melbourne side π
You have a lovely front yard view………..i see houses π
I hope I don’t see houses any time soon…. fingers crossed!
I can almost feel those clouds rolling in on the breeze – cool in more ways than one π
thanks Anna – I am glad the pic is emotive!! π
So happy you’ve joined the challenge (and I love the way you’ve described it). A gorgeous photo here, it must be so lovely to have this as your front yard. I love how a streak of pink, bright clouds separates the dark stormy ones from the ground. Thank you so much for sharing!
thanks so much Jennifer π and it is great to have this view everyday!
